Sofia Tereshchenko is a licensed international independent investigative journalist and books author, proficient in Greek, English, German, and French languages. In addition to her journalistic pursuits, she is a respected fashion model, diplomaed political scientist, entrepreneur, animal rights activist, and wildlife advocate. Drawing from a rich family tradition, Sofia is also a dedicated aviation professional, holding diplomas as a VIP flight attendant, commercial flights flight attendant, and business aviation expert.
In the year 2020, Sofia authored the Universal Declaration of Animal Rights, a groundbreaking initiative anticipated to be incorporated into legal frameworks by esteemed institutions such as the European Parliament and the United Nations.
Her commitment to the family traditions of entrepreneurship extends beyond words, as she actively organizes her mother’s clothing line and exhibition gallery, while concurrently developing her own family line perfume.
Beyond her advocacy work, Sofia showcases her artistic talents through paintings in the realms of ecstasy art and political satire.
As a journalist, during the initial phase of her journalistic career, Sofia in her early 20s, held a role as a specialist in internal policy and media relations at the Mayor’s Office within the governmental municipality of Crimea, Ukraine. Subsequently, throughout her University tenure, she has collaborated with reputable media outlets, having contributed to the Greek digital newspaper “Athenian News”, blogged for the Ukrainian media journal “Korrespondent”, and has also interned at the Greek TV station the Kontra Channel.
Sofia Tereshchenko is the only daughter of Valentina Tereshchenko, a former model turned fashion designer, and the granddaughter of Rachel and Nicholas Tereshchenko, esteemed descendants of the Tereshchenko Dynasty.
The Tereshchenko Family is a wealthy aristocracy, a Dynasty of prominent Ukrainian sugar barons, entrepreneurs, freemasons, diplomats, bankers, lawyers, businessmen, landowners and philanthropists in Europe, known from the 18th century and earlier in Ukraine and the whole world. Its descendants have become famous not only as brilliant businessmen, diplomats and philanthropists, but also as extraordinary politicians, military, financiers, art collectors and landowners. The Dynasty’s bloodlines are: King David, Apostol, Tereshchenko, Mouravieff – Apostol, Rothschilds, Dukes of Leuchtenberg, House of Romanov, House de Beauharnais, Uvaroff, Volkonsky, Khanenko, Velentei; as established on AD 2022. The family has Cossack roots and received its status of nobility by the Royal Decree on May 12, 1870 for special merits and as a reward for their charity – all members of Tereshchenko family were elevated to the hereditary nobility of the Russian Empire by Alexander II of Russia. Family titles are: Kings, Earls, Marquess, Dukes and Princes. Sofia’s ancestors’ family line own textile mills, sugar factories, salt mines, and many more under the company name of “Tereshchenko Brothers Inc”. Tereshchenko are considered to be one of the most prominent families in the world.
In 2014, Sofia founded the International Humanitarian & Environmental Project “Let’s Talk International,” a research initiative focusing on education, environment, wildlife conservation, and the well-being of vulnerable children. For this cause, she received an educational certification from the Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales, in collaboration with United for Wildlife, acknowledging her expertise in wildlife conservation.
Sofia holds a Bachelor of Science degree with summa cum laude in International and European Studies from Panteion University. And she speaks 7 foreign languages.
In 2020 she was included in TOP 5 world’s most iconic female journalists of the coming decade according to the American Reporter.
In 2021 she became a voice-over for political novelist Greg Olear political podcast PREVAIL.
Sofia Tereshchenko is an accredited member of National Writers Union in New York, USA and International Federation of Journalists in Brussels, Belgium.
