Comparative Analysis of Modern Ultra-Orthodox Followers (Russian and Greek), Taliban, Jihadist Extremists and “Russkiy Mir”.

Unpacking Similarities.

In the world of religious adherence, there exists a wide spectrum of beliefs and practices. At one end, we find the ultra-orthodox followers of various religions, such as the Moscow Patriarchate of Russian Orthodox Church, while at the other, we encounter extremist groups like the Hamas, Taliban and Jihadists of Islam. While these groups may seem vastly different on the surface, it’s worth exploring some of the surprising similarities that can be found in their ideologies and practices.

Rigidity of Interpretation

One of the most striking similarities between ultra-orthodox religious followers and Taliban or Jihadist extremists is their rigid interpretation of sacred texts. Ultra-orthodox Russians, for instance, strictly adhere to the laws and teachings of the Russian Orthodox only saints, rejecting other Christian interpretations or adaptations. Similarly, the Taliban and Jihadist groups adhere to a strict, literal interpretation of the Quran, often dismissing more moderate interpretations.

  •

Gender Roles

Both ultra-orthodox religious communities and extremist groups emphasize traditional gender roles. Ultra-orthodox Russian communities typically assign distinct roles to men and women, with women primarily responsible for homemaking and childcare. The Taliban and Jihadist groups enforce strict segregation of the sexes, often limiting women’s rights and opportunities.

  •

Resistance to Modernity

Ultra-orthodox religious followers and extremist groups share a resistance to modernity and secular influences. Ultra-orthodox communities often shun technology, secular education, and secular culture to preserve their religious way of life. Similarly, the Taliban and Jihadists reject modernity and globalization, viewing them as threats to their religious and cultural values.

Insularity and Communalism

Both ultra-orthodox religious communities and extremist groups tend to be insular and emphasize a strong sense of community. Ultra-orthodox Russians often live in close-knit communities or homes / apartments where adherence to religious laws is closely monitored. Likewise, Taliban-controlled areas and Jihadist cells are known for their isolation from the outside world, fostering a sense of unity among their members.

Strict Dress Codes

Ultra-orthodox religious followers and extremist groups also impose strict dress codes on their members. Ultra-orthodox Russian men often wear long black coats, a lot of gold, big gold crosses on their chest, and long beards, while women adhere to modest dress codes, covering their hair and bodies. Similarly, the Taliban and Jihadists enforce conservative dress codes, requiring women to wear burqas and men to dress modestly.

Focus on Religious Education

Both ultra-orthodox religious communities and extremist groups place a strong emphasis on religious education. Ultra-orthodox Russian children receive extensive religious and military (“patriotic”) instruction from a young age, often at the expense of secular education. Likewise, the Taliban and Jihadists prioritize religious education in their curriculum, indoctrinating their members with extremist ideologies.

Susceptibility to Radicalization

Due to their strict adherence to religious principles and resistance to modern influences, both ultra-orthodox religious followers and extremist groups may be susceptible to radicalization. Isolation from mainstream society can create an environment where extreme ideologies take root and flourish.

While the world grapples with religious extremism and its various forms, a lesser-known but no less concerning phenomenon is the emergence of Russian ultra-Orthodox communist neonazis who advocate for the expansion of a purported “Russian world.” This radical fringe group represents a convergence of religious zeal, political ideology, and territorial expansionism, raising alarms about their potential to disrupt international stability.

The “Russian World” (Russkiy Mir) Ideology

The concept of the “Russian world” or “Russkiy Mir” has deep, manic historical and cultural roots in Russia. Initially, it referred to the promotion and preservation of Russian language, culture, and Orthodoxy among Russian-speaking communities worldwide…

However, for the Russian ultra-Orthodox communist neonazi, this term has taken on a more sinister connotation. They seek to establish a pan-Russian empire under the guise of a communist ideology, with Russia at its core, but expanding well beyond its current borders, to say the least. In other words, they seek the “1984” novel embodiment in order to displace Democracy, Equality, World Peace, and Freedom.

They seek to take revenge on the Democratic Western world with its liberties and human rights for the fall of their perverted Soviet totalitarian system. The revenge of which includes concentration camps, filtration camps, punitive medicine (for liberals and libertarians, etc.), prison sentences for “dissents,” torture chambers and other types of revenge of the sick imagination of Putin and his fugitives ALL OVER EUROPE AND USA.

The question is, will we wait again for the first tanks in Poland or will we apply our signature preventive horizontal of the cat and mouse game?

Invasive and Terroristic War on Ukraine

One of the most alarming aspects of this extremist ideology is its support for Russia’s aggressive actions in Ukraine. These Russian ultra-Orthodox communist terrorists actively endorse and participate in Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, viewing it as a means to reclaim territories they believe belong to the “Russian new world”, they even found a name for it “Novorossiya” – “New Russia”. They justify their actions by distorting historical narratives and invoking a sense of religious and cultural fake duty, balancing on emotions of uneducated and poor Russians and fake values they push through TV propaganda, using Soviet music in their propagative video narratives.

Expansion into the West

The ambitions of these extremists extend beyond Ukraine.

They envision the “Russian world” expanding into Europe and America, where Russian-speaking communities exist. While this may seem far-fetched, the group’s radical ideology has the potential to inspire acts of violence and terrorism on foreign soil.

The ultra-Orthodox communist terrorists view themselves as agents of Russian expansionism and are willing to employ any means necessary to achieve their goals…

The Role of Religion

Religion plays a significant role in the ideology of these Russian ultra-Orthodox communist terrorists. They believe that their interpretation of Russian Orthodoxy aligns with their communist ideals and their expansionist agenda, calling it “a holy war”…Yes, it’s a Russian Jihad…

This fusion of religion and politics is a dangerous combination that can be seen as a distorted version of both religious and ideological principles, something that we see in the Arab countries and their offensive wars on Christians all over the globe.

Global Implications

The rise of Russian ultra-Orthodox communist terrorists and their vision of the “Russian world” has global implications. It threatens international stability, undermines diplomatic efforts, and poses a direct challenge to the principles of sovereignty and territorial integrity that underpin the post-World War II international order. Furthermore, it creates divisions within Russian-speaking communities worldwide and fosters extremist sentiments among certain groups.

Counterterrorism Measures

Governments, intelligence agencies, and international organizations must remain vigilant in monitoring and countering the activities of these extremist elements, wherever they are. Collaboration among nations and communities and the sharing of intelligence are critical to identifying and neutralizing threats emanating from this fringe group.

Greek Orthodox Extremists and Their Alignment with Russian Orthodox Imperialists

Another “stone in the garden” is undoubtedly the flirting that Greeks sometimes play with Russians which is utterly dangerous. Religious extremism knows no boundaries, and its reach can extend across nations and cultures. In recent years, there has been evidence of Greek Orthodox extremists (among monks and ultra-Orthodox) forging alliances and taking sides with Russian Orthodox imperialistic extremists, marking a concerning development in the world of religious radicalism. This collaboration raises questions about the motivations, goals, and potential implications of such alliances.

Shared Religious Identity

At the core of the alliance between Greek Orthodox extremists and their Russian counterparts is their shared religious identity. Both groups identify with the Orthodox faith, which forms the basis for their cooperation. This religious connection provides a common ground for ideological alignment, fostering a delusional sense of religious solidarity.

Historical and Cultural Ties

Beyond religious affinity, Greece and Russia share historical and cultural fake “ties” that date back centuries. The Orthodox faith has played a central role in shaping the identities of both nations, and this shared history has created a sense of kinship between Greek and Russian Orthodox communities. These historical bonds contribute to the ease with which extremists from both sides can cooperate.

Anti-Western Sentiment

Another factor driving the alliance between Greek and Russian Orthodox extremists is their shared anti-Western sentiment. Both groups view Western values, including secularism and liberalism, as a threat to their traditional religious and cultural beliefs. They see themselves as defenders of Orthodox Christianity against what they perceive as the encroachment of Western ideals.

Geopolitical Ambitions

Russian Orthodox imperialistic extremists harbor ambitions of expanding Russia’s influence and territory, which aligns with their vision of a greater “Russian world.” Greek Orthodox extremists may see the potential benefits of aligning with Russia, viewing it as a strategic partner in advancing their own regional interests, f.e. falsely believing in the big Constantinople come-back with the “help” from “great blondes” Russians (as they call them”, while at the same time, Russkiys dream and scream (but Greeks just don;t know…) that Constantinople…is a Russian city…

This ill alignment can be seen as an opportunistic move to strengthen their geopolitical appetites and delusional ambitions.

Implications for Regional Stability

The collaboration between Greek and Russian Orthodox extremists has the potential to disrupt regional stability in Southeastern Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean, in the Balkans, something that is Putin’s today’s strategic aim. It may exacerbate existing tensions in regions like Ukraine and the Balkans, where religious and ethnic divisions have been sources of conflict. Additionally, it could strain Greece’s relationships with its Western allies, including the European Union and NATO.

Counterextremism Measures

To address the challenges posed by Greek Orthodox extremists aligning with Russian counterparts, governments and international organizations should prioritize counterextremism efforts. This includes monitoring and addressing extremist activities, implementing community engagement programs, and promoting interfaith dialogue to counteract divisive ideologies.

The collaboration between Greek Orthodox extremists and Russian Orthodox imperialistic extremists is a complex development with significant implications for regional instability and muddy international relations. The emergence of Russian ultra-Orthodox communist terrorists advocating for the expansion of the “Russian world” represents a complex and troubling phenomenon at the intersection of religion, politics, and geopolitics. While the group remains relatively small and on the fringes, their ideology poses a serious threat to international stability and security. It is imperative that the international community continues to work together to counter the influence and activities of these extremists and prevent their dangerous vision from becoming a reality.
